Untitled

when you touch me like that
I smell roses

when you leave my side too quickly
I smell lilies
like death

I reach for you and grab you hard
kissing your face
your whiskers scratch me
like cat paws
the smell of your cologne
making me dizzy

gone for too long
I smell lilacs
like that day
the wind gusted up
and they rained over the grass

I touch myself
and I smell the first
mowed lawn of summer
and your return
